The John Punch Band Goes To Church & The Lord Was Pleased? - We have just finished recording a handful of tracks for a new e.p. at The Anglican Church in Chesterville, Ont.
In the hopes of capturing the natural acoustics of a Church - The John Punch Band packed up all its gear and headed to The Anglican Church in Chesterville armed with a PC and some microphones.
We recorded 10 tracks of which we hope to mix and master a half dozen or so for a new e.p. - Once the tracks are completed we will post them on the site for your listening pleasure.
We are very pleased with the results and all went very well other than the fact that The Good Lord sent a torrent of Thunder and Lightning our way which caused a power failure in his church, corrupting our windows installation on the PC.
But after a few minor set backs and a few late nights I think we were able to capture a true representation of what The John Punch Band sounds like.
